Eclipse

I thought this was such a funny quote when i read it. It is a sarcastic comment that I think nicely stereotypes men without saying it directly. I kind of agree with this quote becuase boys, throughout childhood tend to be a lot more aggresive and in contact with each other than girls. Granted some are not but the majority are. And when I read this part of the book I could clearly understand why Bella would say this because there is a battle going on and none of the "boys" even old men could stay away from the battle. They all needed to take part in it somehow.

Much Ado About Nothing

We just finished Act II in English of Much Ado About Nothing. Don Pedro and Claudio trick Benedick into thinking BEatrice loves him, so he will love her. I really enjoy watching in the movie. The actor who plays Benedick, which is also Geilderoy Lockhart in HArry Potter, does an amazing job. He really brings the words to the screen and you can tell the emotion that goes into the words. Also, Beatrice does a good job characterizing her part. The way she accentuates every line is really beneficial to the story. (She is also Professor Trelawney in Harry Potter)

Shakespeare

We just finished reading act I. and started act II. I really like the watching the movie too. It adds alot to my understanding. Seeing it visually just brings the words to life. haha. But I think i failed the Act I quiz. I mean it wasn't hard and I thought i read it pretty well. I think I just messed up some characters parts. Oh well! Ill try harder for ACtII.

Twighlight

They just announced Edward Cullen for the movie... and its Cedric Diggory from Harry Potter!!! I'am so excited. Even though it wasn't the best choice, i mean its a great choice, but i love harry potter so why would i not like it???

Ok. I reread part of the book this week and i really enjoyed reading it again. It really made me sad to read about Jacob. The epilogue really breaks my heart every time i read it because i know that Jacob is completely helpless and to see his pain is just really sad. I can't raelly imagine being Bella because that is just really cruel. I mean Edward lives forever, he had his chance ,why not just go with Jacob? Ok, i understand actually that edward should be with bella too. but i like jacob better!!

Shakespeare

We watched a Shakespeare intorduction video in class today and I really liked it. It was a neat commentary and I learned a lot about the history and aura around William Shakespeare. I saw Hamlet, at the Guthrie through Drama in 9th grade and it was 4 hours long!!! I must admit i did start to sleep near the end of the first act. Last year, I saw MeErchant of Venice at the Guthrie. IT WAS AMAZING. So good and really easy to follow and understand. The actors were very good and really made the 3 and a half hour play enjoyable. Also last year in 9th grade, I watched Romeo and Juliet, two versions. I really like the old one because it is in context rather than the new contemporary one which uses guns??? and cars??? and beach???
And I can't wait to read Much Ado about Nothing. I've heard of it. I think its a comedy, but we shall see.

Eclipse #4

Since, I finished my book, i cannot think of much to write about. So, im going to write, "I i was a character in the book, I would want to be Bella!" Because of all these reasons: First of all, she is the main character in the book and all the action revolves around her. Second, she is very lucky to have the unbelieveably good looking, nice, ccaring, respectful, in otherwords- perfect guy. Third, she has a lot of freedom in her life to do what she wants, since her dad is so laid back. Fourth, Bella never seems to do too much hw. Fifth, she lives in a fantasy world that she loves so much. (I wish i was at Hogwarts!!!.)

Flee Maps.

Flee Map: a combination of FLow and trEE map. We learned how to create one in class yesterday. I thought the name was very creative. haha. My opinion on this though is: Why do we have to create one when, our outline clearly shows us the progression of our paper and the notes clearly present what we are going to include in our paper? I for once, really believe that this assignment is really pointless. However, I'am still going to do it obviously but I will not gain anything from it. So... ya. And I'm learning a bit more on Euthanasia than before. But I think that in almost every controversial issue there is no absolute rights or wrongs. (which is why its is called controversial... haha) But I think there are always exceptions to what you believe in.
